Griffin has been using utensils by himself for a couple months now. He is still working on it as you can see by the video but I wanted to capture it on camera. This may be one of those videos that is only exciting for his mom...so if that is the case, sorry!

Busy
This week has been busy, to say the least. I started back to work, we have been trying to box up stuff we don't use frequently to be put in storage, Scott is getting ready to start another MBA class and Griffin has been busy getting some molars this week (2 just popped through and I think 1 more is close behind). He has let us know this is no easy job by not taking naps, running a fever and just being a little less happy throughout the day! All the while I have been exhausted from helping form Griffin's little brother or sister :) Sooo... no pictures to post and we have a crazy weekend (Happy birthday Patrick, Cam and Evan and congrats Danny and Kate= 3birthday parties and a wedding) Hope to have something soon!

Poor Neglected Child
This is how we found Griffin tonight while we were painting the french doors in our living room. This poor kiddo has had to entertain himself a LOT lately, with us getting the house ready to be sold and his mom being so nauseous so often. When we found him he wasn't even complaining, just hanging out on top of a bunch of toys! I feel so bad because it isn't going to get much better with me going back to work next week :(

As a Teacher, I Love This!
Griffin spends about 15 minutes every morning independently looking though his books on his bookshelf. He will take one off the shelf, flip through it (the correct way from front to back), point to pictures of things he knows (bubbles, bus, dog, bath, balloons, keys, trucks, etc) and say them, then move on to the next book.
On a side note, take a look at our new carpeting we had installed yesterday! No more shoes, vomit (this one is all G) or food upstairs until we sell our house!
Lastly, I am 11 weeks pregnant now and still feeling pretty sick all the time. The nausea is a bummer but I am hopeful it will end soon. The baby is about the size of a lime and I am definitely showing. I only fit into about 3 pairs of my regular shorts already!

Happy Birthday Gavin
Here is a video of Griffin singing "Happy Birthday" to his new cousin Gavin, or at least that's what we will say he is singing!
On another note, we had his 15 month appt today and he was a trooper getting his MMR and chicken pox vaccine. He barely winced. Also, he grew 2 inches over the summer!!!! He is now in the 25th percentile for height, which is a huge thing for us considering he almost fell off the chart in that area. He only weighs 20 lbs but we will take that too b/c at least he is still ON the charts for it.

Fun weekend
In the middle of a crazy "trying to get our house ready to be sold" weekend we managed to squeeze in some fun. Griffin got to play with uncle Patrick while mom and dad went out to a friend's party and we also got to go to St Mary's festival. You can barely see Griffin on the ride but he IS on Patrick's lap!

Gavin Donovan Moore
OOOHHHHHHHH so adorable!
Gavin was born around 9:00 tonight weighing in at a whopping 8 lb 12 oz. Shell and he are doing great, considering Shell's epidural never worked! Both grandmas sound estatic and my mom said she was so proud of Shell. I have seen a text message picture of Gavin and he looks just like Derek, the father, and has these big cheeks you just want to kiss. As soon as I get a picture I will post it. I CANNOT wait to meet him in 20 days. Let the countdown begin!

Coney Island
Riding all the rides, BY HIMSELF, at Coney Island. I was a nrevous wreck the whole time that he would somehow maneuver his way out in the middle of the ride and fall out, but he had the time of his life. He actually threw a tantrum every time he saw me coming toward him because he knew that meant I was coming to get him off the ride.

Some Weekend Pictures
This weekend we went to Holy Cross Immaculata's Festival in Mt Adams on Friday night. Griffin found the rock pit pretty quickly and showed us his throwing skills, all while holding onto his cookie from cousin Livi. We also went to Findlay Market for some fresh produce on Saturday. Griffin ate an entire peach in about 4 minutes. He loves fruit!

Our Little Helper
We think this may have stemmed from him watching us wipe the floors at least 15 times a day from the time he was one week until about 11 months old (he used to spit up a LOT!).

Recent Tongue Discovery
Don't really know how to explain this video. However, don't forget to watch the end where he finishes my sentence with the word "Puff", his favorite food. He has been doing this for a month now :)

"Stuck"
As you can tell from my videos lately Griffin has been talking a lot. He now probably says about 15 words, and I can't wait until he can start putting some words together. I also like how he "answers" questions now. When asked a question he will shake his head no for no and nod his head and say "mm-hmm!" for yes. We go through this every night when I ask him if he wants to read a certain book. We must read at least 10-15 books every day and he is starting to show preferences (ones with trucks, animals, buses, or ones that have a song in them). Another milestone he hit last week is that he no longer eats baby food. Mealtimes are a lot easier now, he just eats whatever we eat. I made tuna-noodle casserole yesterday and he had some for lunch and then when he saw it was for dinner he said "mmmmmmm". Makes me feel like a great chef!

Sliding
We went to the Children's Museum on this rainy day with our friends Laura and Tessa. Griffin went down the slide all by himself for the first time, too. He is really turning into a monkey, climbing on EVERYTHING!
