Outnumbered
We got to hang out with Livi and Cam last night and we had a great time, although we now know what it feels like to be outnumbered :) It must have been somewhat apparent because in the second picture you can see our child chowing down on a leaf. We wondered what it was when it came back up 30 minutes later. Livi was a very helpful little girl, as you can tell by the first picture.

Sleeping Position
I have found Griffin sleeping in this position (bottom up, face down, head in hands) many times lately. Thought I'd share with everyone how he now sleeps. While on the note of sleeping, we are proud to say our child might possibly like sleeping for the first time in his life. He takes two hour and a half naps and sleeps well at night but the best part is watching him when you get lay him in the bed. He smiles and does his excited grunt and turns his head to the side and closes his eyes.

Smart Little Guy
Some new Griffin things:
-pointing the remote at the tv and pushing buttons (this might come from a child who was breastfed by a mother who would always flip through Oprah or Ellen shows while feeding him).
-putting the phone to the back of his head (not ear for some reason) and babbling
-saying truck ("chuck")
-can now do a 180 while walking. He will walk toward you, stop, and turn around and walk back where he came from all on his own.
-Lastly, this morning while I was reading him a book we got to a page with flowers and he reached his head to the book and "smelled"(which is more like blowing snot out of his nose, but we'll take it)! I had read him other books that have flowers and we always "smell" them together but I thought this was neat because it was different book and he initiated it himself.
-Sorry for not having many pics or videos lately. With Scott out of town and a sick child (he has quite the nasty cold) its hard to get many pics.

We Miss you Dad
Scott has been out of town this week and I think for the first time Griffin realizes he's gone. He will look in certain places where he can usually find Scott and he has been a little more fussy at night when he usually sees him. We can't wait to see him on Friday...it is hard being a single working mom, I don't know how people do it!

We Love Him...
Griffin has started some new things that we just love around here. He now gives kisses for real. If I say, "Can Mommy have a kiss?" he comes towards me making the "mmmmmmmm" sound and then opens his mouth nice and wide for a wet kiss. We figured out the "mmmmmm" sound is from when we give him kisses and making the kissing noise (which involves the lips smacking at the end, he just doesn't know how to do the end part:)
He also has a new laugh that involves his mouth being wide open, almost like he is mocking others that are laughing too. He does it constantly when he is showing off, whether walking, playing peek-a-boo or just wants attention.
Lastly...walking. He now does it all the time. His favorite is to go from one person to another and back and forth and back and forth. All the while doing that loud open-mouth mocking laugh. I have got to get all this on camera as I'm sure I'm not doing it justice.
You think you can't love a human being possibly anymore and then another day comes along and you're proved wrong again.

First Beautiful Day...
We decided on our first nice day of Spring Break to head to the zoo with Grammy and the cousins. Apparently everyone else in the city thought that was a good idea too :) Other than being crowded it was a lot of fun. Griffin got his pants eaten by a goat, Livi learned about manatees and Cam took it all in from her cozy stroller.

Another Museum Trip
Griffin and I went to the Children's Museum again today since the weather has been very much "un-Spring Break-like". I decided to buy a membership for part of Griffin's birthday present since he enjoyed it so much last time. We went with Laura and her daughter Camryn. Although they never actually "played together" they both had a really fun time. My favorite picture is the sand table one...he is already keeping up with the big kids.

The Children's Museum Aftermath
Griffin and I had a very fun time at our first trip to the Museum Center yesterday. Thanks to Maria, Chloe and Will for letting us tag along! I wasn't able to get the camera out during the whole trip because Griffin NEVER stopped. He went from push toy, to Legos, to sand table, to blocks, to balls, to push toy again... So anyway here is a picture of what you could find in the back of the car before we could even get on 75, which is literally 1 block away from the Museum Center.

More Easter Pics
On Easter Sunday we woke up WAY early in the morning (Griffin thinks its fun to get up at 5:30). We went to Easter Mass, and then checked out what the Easter Bunny brought. It was a beautiful day out so we went for a jog, and Griffin does such a great job in the jogging stroller. Then later in the day we went over to visit grandpa, uncle Patrick and great grandma and grandpa Gunderson for dinner. Although Griffin was a little spoiled this year (at least a dozen presents and 3 Easter baskets) he had a wonderful first Easter, which meant his parents did too.

Lyons' Family Easter
Trying to warm up to all the fun and commotion.
Cam trying to crawl, but she would always get stuck in the downward facing dog yoga pose. She's close!
Opening presents which included sunglasses, sand shovels, toys and buckets, balls, and stamps.
Here's Livi in her new shades. Apparently, when the Easter Bunny stops here he brings presents too!
Maci, Livi and Griffin are looking out at all the eggs in anticipation!
Griffin loved hunting for Easter eggs outside.

Brushing my Teeth
Griffin loves to "brush" his teeth with the toothbrush grandma got for him, as long as there is a little but of toothpaste on the brush. It is neat to see him catching on to the purposes of certain items around the house. If you give him a brush he puts it in your hair, glasses are put on your face, toothbrushes/food/cups in your mouth, and Scott's electric razor on your face.

Baby Moore is a boy!
Griffin loves his two girl cousins, Livi and Cam and now he gets to add a boy cousin to that list. Shell and Derek found out yesterday they are having a boy, and we are all thrilled for them. The above is a pic of his soccer leg and the bottom pic is of his face and heart. He is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way already.

And he's off.....
This video was taken after Griffin took 9 steps in a row tonight, from mom to dad, all by himself. Looking back, the keys in his hand probably weren't the safest toy, but hindsight is 20/20. He acted as if he had been doing this all along, while I was trying not to cry :)
